            Academic grades:

Grades in class reflect your performance in the following areas:

Semester/final exams (4)

Notebook Checks (1)

Quizzes (1)

Attendance 10%

Class participation (1)

Behavior 10%

 Each assignment is differently weighed.  Weight of each is in parenthesis.

The grading scale is: 90% to 100% is an A.  80% to 89% is a B.  70% to 79% is a C, 60% to 69% is a D. 

            Conduct grades:

Conduct grades are based on you behavior in the classroom.  Failing to comply with any of the classroom procedures or rules will result in your conduct grade being lowered.

            Effort grades:

1- Effort grades are determined by your honest desire to succeed in the class and by the degree to which you

    complete the assignments.

2- Deadlines are deadlines; please do not ask for extensions.  99.9999% of the times they will not be granted.

3- Sloppy and un-readable work will be rejected and given a zero or “no credit”.
